Killing us softly – advertising’s image of women

Thanks to Keris for posting this short video about how the way women are portrayed in advertising is harmful. I thought it deserved sharing with a wider audience. I like the quote from Cindy Crawford who said “I wish I looked like Cindy Crawford.”

If you ever wondered why Jo Swinson has spent so much time taking cosmetics companies to the Advertising Standards Authority and winning her case, this is a good summary of the arguments.
